Warner Horizon taps Tappon

Exec to oversee alternative programming

Warner Horizon Television has named Drew Tappon senior creative executive for alternative programming.

Tappon will help oversee the development of nonscripted programming for both broadcast and cable, reporting to Brooke Karzen, senior VP of alternative programming for Warner Horizon.

Tappon arrives at Warner Horizon following a 12-year stint at MTV, where he most recently served as senior VP of original programming and series development. During his MTV tenure, he worked on series including "The Real World," "Road Rules," "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila" and the Warner Horizon-produced "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew."

Other Warner Horizon series include ABC's "The Bachelor," TV Land's "High School Reunion" plus "True Beauty," a new skein from Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher set to premiere in January on the Alphabet.
