'Rashomon' restored digitally

New print to screen Nov. 17 at Academy Theater

Cinephiles searching for older classics will be able to see Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon" in a new, digitally restored print on Nov. 17. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences will present the acclaimed 1950 drama at the Academy Theater on 59th Street. New restoration comes courtesy of the Academy Film Archive in association with the Kadokawa Culture Promotion Foundation and the Film Academy.
