"Signs & Wonders" tracks a psychiatrist who runs the cognitive sciences research department at a prestigious university and leads a team of grad students in solving suspicious medical cases.
"I think that the paranormal theme fits very well with our audience," said Tana Nugent Jamieson, senior VP of drama programming for A&E. "The trick is making a paranormal show that feels real as opposed to being a little out there."
Mandalay TV has 13 projects in active development, said prexy Elizabeth Stephen, who is developing "Signs & Wonders" for the company along with senior VP Robin Budd.
"It's going to be a very big winter for us," she added. "We're turning in a lot of scripts."
