Swedish Film Institute sets topper

Bengt Toll to head up Audience Department

STOCKHOLM -- The Swedish Film Institute has named Bengt Toll head of its Audience Department, replacing Linda Zachrison, who is leaving Dec. 1 to become artistic leader at Stockholm City Theater.

Toll, who starts at the end of February, will be responsible for all aspects of launching Swedish films, locally and ínternationally.

Toll has been head of development at Swedish production company Film i Vast for four years. He is also chairman of Cine Regio, the European network for regional film funds.

SFI's Peter Hald will head the department until Toll starts.
