Interviewed onstage by Variety's Ali Jaafar, Fiennes spoke of his equal love for both stage and feature film work and how the two different disciplines can enrich one another.
Fiennes was happy to discuss his best-known roles in "Schindler's List" and "The English Patient," but was also eager to play up his turns in lesser-seen "The White Countess" (Merchant Ivory) and Istvan Szabo's "Sunshine."
Fiennes, who is respected for his astute selection of film roles, did admit to one big-budgeted turkey — "The Avengers."
As Fiennes was ushered off to tread the boards in "Oedipus," appreciative auds were treated to a 15 minute sneak peak of The Weinstein Company's "The Reader."
