Purchased from Fresh TV through London’s Cake Distribution, "Total Drama Action" will continue to poke fun at the TV reality genre the way "Island" does, situating 15 "contestants" on a deserted film-studio lot and presenting them with "challenges" in their quest to win cash and prizes.
Toon series was created by Fresh TV’s Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch. It’s currently in production and set to premiere next year.
Running Thursdays at 9 p.m., "Total Drama Island" anchors Cartoon Network’s "Har Har Tharsdays" comedy block and is the channel’s top-rated laffer series.
