Film Society fetes Manny Farber

Lincoln Center org pays tribute to film critic

The Film Society of Lincoln Center will present a tribute to the painter and film critic Manny Farber at the Walter Reade Theater Nov. 14-26. Series will be composed of Farber's favorite films and will include a new print of Howard Hawks' "Scarface," a screening of Scorsese's "Mean Streets," and two shorts about Farber himself, one of which will be introduced by its director, Paul Schrader. Farber died in August at age 91.
