Pic is a comedy-thriller about three fugitives on the run from a big-time gangster out for revenge following the accidental death of one of his gang members.
Murphy takes over in the lead role from previously attached James McAvoy (Variety, Feb. 8, 2008).
Mark O’Rowe (“Boy A,” “Intermission”) has written the script.
Project was developed through U.K. shingle Number 9 Films’ slate funding with Parallel Films, with support from Film4, the Irish Film Board, Limelight, Premiere Picture and the U.K. Film Council.
Parallel’s Alan Moloney is producing alongside Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen from Number 9. Woolley and Karlsen’s “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People” has grossed almost $7 million so far at the U.K. box office.
Lensing on “Perrier’s Bounty” will begin Nov. 10 on location in Dublin, London and Louth in Ireland.
Hanway Films is handling worldwide sales. Optimum Releasing has acquired U.K. and Ireland rights.
