TORONTO -- Hong Kong action pic "The Drummer" and Satoshi Miki's urban road comedy "Adrift in Tokyo" will bookend the 12th Toronto Reel Asian Film Festival and confab that runs Nov. 12-16.

Helmed by Kenneth Bi, a graduate of Canada's Brock U., "Drummer" stars Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan as a gangster's son who hides out with Zen drummers in the mountains of Taiwan. Pic also features Tony Leung Ka Fai, Angelica Lee Sinje and Josie Ho.

Real Asian -- which includes a full slate of industry events, parties and musical side events -- will unspool 15 features and 60 shorts from 14 countries.

Among the pics are helmer Michael Kang's Korean crime thriller "West 32nd," starring John Cho ("Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle") and Canadian-American Grace Park ("Battlestar Galactica").

Christine Choy brings her latest documentary, "Long Story Short," written and narrated by Jodi Long ("All American Girl"), to Reel Asian for its Canuck preem.
