ABC orders full season of 'Practice'

'Grey's Anatomy' spinoff 'Private Practice,' back this fall after a lengthy absence due to the writers strike, was picked up for the rest of the season.

CBS has ordered two more scripts of laffer 'Worst Week,' which has averaged 9.9 million viewers.

ABC has prescribed a full-season order for “Private Practice.”

Also on Tuesday, CBS gave frosh sitcom “Worst Week” a vote of confidence, ordering two more scripts -- a sign that a full-season pick up may be imminent.

“Private Practice,” which comes from ABC Studios, recently returned to the airwaves after a lengthy, strike-induced hiatus that kept the show off the air for the second half of its freshman season. After two episodes this fall, skein has averaged a 3.2 rating/8 share among adults 18-49 and 8.3 million total viewers.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff comes from exec producers Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Marti Noxon, Mark Gordon, Mark Tinker, Mark Wilding, Jon Cowan and Robert Rovner.

Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Audra McDonald, Paul Adelstein, KaDee Strickland, Chris Lowell, Taye Diggs and Amy Brenneman star.

As for “Worst Week,” show scored some of the best critical mentions (particularly among half-hours) of the fall. “Worst Week” has been holding steady in the ratings, averaging a 3.2 rating/7 share among adults 18-49 and 9.9 million viewers overall.
