N.Y. Women names honorees

Laura Linney, Kyra Sedgwick top Muse Awards

New York Women in Film and Television will fete Laura Linney, Kyra Sedgwick, Nickelodeon prexy Cyma Zarghami and ad exec Linda Kaplan Thaler at its 28th annual Muse awards.

"CBS Sunday Morning" contributor Nancy Giles will host the Dec. 9 luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel.

The Loreen Arbus award will go to Eastman Kodak in recognition of its support of femme cinematographers.

Linney was last seen on stage in New York in Roundabout's revival of "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" and will appear in Richard Eyre's "The Other Man" later this year. She earned an Oscar nod for "The Savages" last year and last month won an Emmy for HBO's "John Adams."

Sedgwick stars in TNT's top-rated drama "The Closer." Zarghami is president of the Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group and oversees business ops for the group's properties. Thaler is CEO and chief creative officer of the Kaplan Thaler Group.
