The giveaway ties in to the cover of the Oct. 27 issue arriving on newsstands Oct. 23 with Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin on the cover.
Each copy of the issue will contain a code, which readers can plug into iTunes.
TV nets and movie studios have experimented in recent years with giving away content in advance, but the one-week window and tie-in with Apple are unusual wrinkles, especially for an established, Emmy-winning skein.
TV Guide prexy J. Scott Crystal said the move made sense because the magazine "reaches a younger and more TV-tech savvy audience than ever before."
