The plex, located in the Aeon Mall Chikushino shopping center, will have nine screens totaling 1,509 seats, of which seven will be installed with digital 3-D projection systems developed by U.S.-based RealD.
The first pic to screen using the new systems will be "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D."
The Chikushino plex will be Warner Mycal's fourth in Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. It operates 61 sites nationwide.
