Production will start Nov. 8 in Detroit. John Stalberg Jr. is directing from the screenplay he wrote with Stephen Susco ("The Grudge").
Story's centered on a high school valedictorian who gets high with the school stoner and faces a drug test, then decides to get the entire school stoned so he can beat the test by making everyone fail. Brody will portray a drug dealer and Chiklis will play the school principal.
Warren Zide and Ray Markovich will produce. Olga Mirimskaya, Ryan Lewis, Susco and Stalberg are exec producing.
Zide, producer of the "American Pie" and "Final Destination" franchises, is partnering with Parallel Media in a $70 million production financing deal covering eight films. He and Markovich are producing workplace comedy "Demoted," currently shooting in Michigan.
