Directed by first time helmer Edwin, pic traces the journey through contemporary Indonesia by a woman who is confused about her identity. It also appeared in the competition section of the Pusan festival which wraps today.
"Blind Pig" has been supported at various stages by the Rotterdam event. In 2007, Edwin received the Hubert Bals Fund Award for his film during the Cinemanila IFF and in 2008 it was presented as a CineMart project receiving aid for postproduction from the Hubert Bals Fund.
Fest has reorganized itself into three main sections - Bright Future, Spectrum and Signals - and announced that Signals section will include a thematic sidebar on Asian 'hungry ghost' films.
It has already selected two: Ekachai Uekrongtham's "The Coffin" and Thai box office hit "4BIA."
