Both skeins have received 16-episode orders, USA said Thursday.
With the earlier renewal of rookie thriller "In Plain Site," "Monk" remains the only established USA original in limbo.
"We'd love to see a season eight of 'Monk,' " said Jeff Wachtel, exec VP of original programming for the network. "We're talking right now, and we'll make an announcement when the time is right."
Spy thriller "Burn Notice" led all scripted series on basic cable last summer in adults 18-49, averaging 2.8 million viewers in the demo while spiking 23% in total viewers from the previous season.
Series comes from Fox TV Studios and Fuse Entertainment and stars Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell and Sharon Gless. It's exec produced by creator Matt Nix, Mikkel Bondesen and Jeff Freilich.
Comedy "Psych," meanwhile, averaged 2.2 million viewers in the 18-49 demo.
Series stars James Roday, Dule Hill and Corbin Bernsen. Steve Franks, Kelly Kulchack and Chris Henze exec produce in association with Tagline Pictures and Universal Cable Prods. Mel Damski also serves as exec producer and director.
