Thesp Bailey Hanks will move from one blonde princess to another, jumping from Broadway’s “Legally Blonde” to Paper Mill Playhouse’s fall staging of “High School Musical.”
Hanks will portray scheming teen diva Sharpay in “HSM,” which begins perfs at New Jersey’s Paper Mill in November. Actress emerged this summer as the winner of MTV casting skein “Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods,” and went on to play the lead role in the Rialto staging of “Blonde.”
“HSM,” helmed by Paper Mill a.d. Mark S. Hoebee and choreographed by Denis Jones, runs at Paper Mill Nov. 5-Dec. 7. Further casting is yet to be confirmed.
“Blonde” is set to shutter Oct. 19.
