History promotes Peter Gaffney

Cable vet named senior VP for programming

Peter Gaffney has been upped to senior VP for programming strategy, scheduling, and acquisitions for the History and History Intl. channels.

The ascension adds programming duties for the cable vet, who had been senior veep for scheduling and acquisitions.

He'll continue to report to exec VP and general manager Nancy Dubuc, who hailed the move as a reward for double-digit ratings increases on History and History Intl. under his aegis.
