B-Side boards 'Crawford'

Company nabs David Modigliani documentary

B-Side Entertainment announced the acquisition of David Modigliani’s award-winning SXSW documentary "Crawford" as well as the film’s Oct. 7 premiere on Hulu.com.

"Crawford" is a documentary about the impact of President Bush’s relocation to the small town of Crawford, Texas, shortly after announcing his candidacy for president.

B-Side CEO Chris Hyams set up the acquisition deal with Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment. Hyams, Braun and Modigliani brought the deal to Hulu.com for the site’s first feature film premiere.

Hulu.com is an online video service that offers shows, clips and movies. B-Side’s proprietary website, Amazon VOD, iTunes and CreateSpace will follow up with streaming video, downloads and DVD on demand.
