LMU to honor Deepa Mehta

Helmer will receive lifetime achievement award

Helmer Deepa Mehta will receive the 2008 Infinite Power of Story Lifetime Achievement Award on Oct. 13 from Loyola Marymount U.'s School of Film and Television during its Film Outside the Frame Festival.

Mehta also will be presented with the Cosgrove Distinguished Visiting Artist appointment during the festival.

The helmer's latest pic, "Heaven on Earth" preemed at the Toronto Film Festival.
