Cable network picks up rerun rights to drama

'Swingtown'

Bravo has picked up all 13 segs of the Eye’s summer drama 'Swingtown,' and plans to air them starting this fall.

"Swingtown" is getting an encore on Bravo.

Cabler has picked up rerun rights to CBS’ summer drama about three couples undergoing a sexual and cultural awakening in suburban Chicago in the summer of ’76.

Series, created by Mike Kelley for CBS Paramount Network TV, drew low ratings in its run on the Eye but developed a loyal cult following.

Bravo said it will sked the 13 "Swingtown" segs later this fall. The ensembler stars Molly Parker, Lana Parrilla, Miriam Shor, Jack Davenport, Grant Show and Josh Hopkins.

After noticing the strong buzz generated by the show, Bravo execs moved quickly to land the repeat rights in a pact with CBS Television Distribution.
