Weintraub shuffles presidents

Gerber expected to replace exiting Guralnick

Robert Guralnick is leaving as president of Warner-based Jerry Weintraub Prods., with Bill Gerber expected to replace him.

Guralnick, a former Warner exec, told Daily Variety that he's leaving amicably and will depart in a few weeks.

"Every day was interesting working for Jerry, but our relationship ran its course," he said. Weintraub's best known recently for producing the "Ocean's Eleven" franchise. He's developing a bigscreen version of "Tarzan" for Warners with Stephen Sommers directing.

Like Guralnick, Gerber's a former Warner exec. He's also a Warner-based producer, working with Clint Eastwood on "Gran Torino" and with Phillip Noyce on developing a remake of the classic swashbuckler "Captain Blood."
