McIlhargey moves to New Regency after four years with Joel Silver’s banner (Daily Variety, Sept. 18).
Parker said McIlhargey, Regency vet Kara Francis and former Paramount Vantage exec Amy Israel form the core of an exec team that will steer a Regency revamp into filmmaker-driven fare with commercial appeal. Parker cited McIlhargey’s "love and passion for tentpole and event films."
Regency hopes Israel and McIlhargey will bring in talent to Regency. Among the projects McIlhargey worked on closely is Guy Ritchie’s "RocknRolla."
Ritchie credited McIlhargey with helping to get "RocknRolla" greenlit "within two days."
