They will cooperate in promoting each other's talent, from sports stars to thesps.
Founded in 1912, Yoshimoto not only reps a talent roster of nearly 800, including most of the big comedy acts on Japanese TV, but also operates two legit theaters in Tokyo and three in Osaka, as well as TV recording studios in both cities. In recent years it has also been branching out into pic production, satellite broadcasting and webcasting.
In fiscal 2007, the company set an all-time earnings record of $477 million.
