BAFTA to honor Sean Penn

Actor to receive Kubrick Britannia nod

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles will honor Sean Penn with this year’s Stanley Kubrick Britannia nod for excellence in film.

Org’s most prestigious kudo will be presented Nov. 6 at the 2008 BAFTA/LA Britannia Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.

Penn will next be seen in Gus Van Sant’s Harvey Milk biopic “Milk,” set to open in November.
