Back nine order comes after just three episodes -- but the Dub likes what it sees so far.
CW Entertainment prexy Dawn Ostroff said that for the weblet, "90210" represents "another step forward in building a cohesive schedule that defines this network as a destination for young women with shows that get our audience talking -- and watching."
Pickup is the first for any new series at the networks this season. Most frosh entries won't start bowing until this week as the fall season gets under way.
CBS Paramount Network TV is behind "90210," which comes from exec producers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah. Rebecca Kirschner ("Gilmore Girls") has also just joined as an exec producer.
The show opened big, giving the net its highest-rated premiere ever in its target women 18-34 audience, as well as adults 18-34 and 18-49.
The series dipped in week two but then started to tick back up last week, when it posted a 3.3 rating/10 share with women 18-34 and 3.3 million viewers; "90210" also has added a third more viewers once full live-plus-seven DVR numbers are factored in.
Skein stars Rob Estes, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Lori Loughlin, Jessica Walter, AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup and Michael Steger. Original "Beverly Hills 90210" stars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty have made special appearances.
