97% of teens play videogames

Survey reveals overwhelming gaming odds

Wondering where the young auds have gone?

A new Pew study has even more dramatic evidence of how far videogames have entered the American mainstream, noting that 97% of teens 12-17 play videogames.

50% had played a videogame "yesterday" when polled and a whopping 86% report playing on a console, meaning they're stealing directly from potential TV watching.

Still, there is a bit of hope for the "Gossip Girls" of the world: 99% of boys report playing videogames while "only" 94% of girls play.
