The company, which employs about 70 people in a converted 200-year-old granary in South Street Seaport, will explore family films geared toward theatrical release. It has three projects, all at early stages of development: one live action, one animated and one a blend of the two.

"'Wonder Pets' showed us that we had the ability to create longform stories and evergreen, classic family films," said Josh Selig, founder and prexy of Little Airplane.
