Bierman boosted at Warner Premiere

Exec promoted to senior VP of production

Matt Bierman has been elevated to senior VP of production for Warner Premiere, studio's direct-to-disc arm.

Bierman will continue to work closely with division prexy Diane Nelson to shape studio's creative strategy for these releases. He will oversee the made-for-DVD feature slate, identifying projects and filmmakers.

Previously, he was VP of production for the division. Before that, he was a production executive with Paramount's DVD Premieres group, overseeing films including "Broken Bridges," VH1's "Totally Awesome" and "Save the Last Dance II."  Bierman has also served as exec VP of production at Phoenix Pictures and was senior VP of production at Village Roadshow.

In between working at Par and Warner Premiere, Bierman co-wrote and exec produced poker comedy "The Grand," directed by Zak Penn and starring Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano and Cheryl Hines.
