Story chronicles an urbanite's journey as he moves to a suburban community, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers a large conspiracy. Studio exec John Fox came up with the concept and brought it in to the Fox-based shingle; 21 Laps then tapped Jared Stern to write.
Levy is producing "Neighborhood Watch" with 21 Laps prexy Tom McNulty. The shingle's Billy Rosenberg, who is shepherding the project, will serve in some producing capacity. One of the busiest banners on the Century City lot, 21 Laps also has "Date Night" set up at the studio with Steve Carell and Tina Fey starring. Levy is attached to direct.
The shingle is in production on "Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian," which Levy is directing for Fox.
Stern most recently sold his spec "Self-Guided" to Disney, with Mandeville producing.
