Dolgen Hall, located on Cornell's campus in Ithaca, was commemorated at a ceremony dedicated to the media mogul Saturday.
The former chairman and chief exec officer of Viacom donated a multimillion-dollar gift to his alma mater and serves on the Cornell U. major gifts committee.
"Jonathan Dolgen; his wife, Susan; and their daughters, Tamar and Lauren; have generously continued with Cornell their longstanding commitment to education," said Harry Katz, Cornell's ILR school dean and professor.
The Dolgen family also has made contributions to the U.'s Dolgen Family scholarship and the Abe Dolgen Labor Education Suite, named after Dolgen's father.
