NBJ has invested $92,865 in the company, appointing Yoshitsugu Koizumi topper.
By July 2011, when Japan switches from analog to digital, NBJ plans to have BS Fox up and running as one of the 10 to 20 digital satcasters skedded to be licensed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Contents will come mostly from Fox and other overseas broadcasters.
NBJ, rather than foreign sources, is funding BS Fox to comply with Japanese regs regarding applicants for digital licenses.
Launched in 1998 by News Corp., NBJ operates six satellite channels in Japan, including Fox and National Geographic.
