Choreographer and teacher Jacqui Landrum, who worked on several films for the Coen brothers, died of cancer Aug. 29 in Los Angeles. She was 64.

Born in Los Angeles, her first professional job was choreographing "Hollywood A Go Go" for television.

After marrying fellow dancer Bill Landrum, they joined the Inner City Repertory Company and in 1977, established their own company, Landrum Dance Theater.

The couple taught drama and movement at USC for 17 years while also working in film, television and theater. Among the films they did choreography on were "The Doors," "Basic Instinct," "Great Balls of Fire," "The Big Lebowski," "Barton Fink" and "O Brother Where Art Thou."

In 1981, they launched a dance talk show, "In Rap With Dance," which won a Los Angeles Emmy Award.

The duo was nominated for an Emmy in 1989 for their choreography on "Moonlighting."

She is survived by her husband.
