"The Butcherhouse Chronicles," penned by Michael Hidalgo, is a darkly comic horror stage show about four high school students out to discover the truth behind a mysterious old property known as the Butcherhouse. It premiered in New York in 2006.
Borin has been attached to direct Lionsgate's "Kidnapped." He's also directed musicvideos for Good Charlotte and Breaking Benjamin.
Platinum Dunes, a specialist in horror pics such as "The Hitcher" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," is headed by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Shingle's next release will be its "Friday the 13th" remake for New Line, due out Feb. 13, a Friday, from Warner Bros.
