NY fest sets Oshima sidebar

In addition to the screenings, Lincoln Center will also host "The Place of Oshima," a free panel discussion with film scholars and critics. Oshima has the distinction of directing the only pic invited to the NYFF ever to be censored: the print of his 1976 feature "In the Realm of the Senses" was held at customs until after the festival because of its content.
The series runs Sept. 27-Oct. 13 and will include his most recent film, "Taboo."
