Plot continues to revolve around a secret society known as the Order that has discovered the existence of a rare blood trait in girls. New series will bring back characters that have appeared in "Lonelygirl15," including Jonas, played by Jackson Davis, and Sarah (Alexandra Dreyfus) as resistance fighters who battle the evil org.
"The Resistance" is exec produced by Miles Beckett, Greg Goodfried and Amanda Goodfried, the producers of "Lonelygirl15" and "KateModern."
Joshua Fialkov, creator of the graphic novels "Elk's Run" and "Punks," serves as head scribe.
Production shingle Eqal will distribute "The Resistance" on MySpaceTV, imeem, Veoh, YouTube and Hulu, as well as on LG15.com, on Sept. 20, as part of the company's strategy of generating more auds across multiple websites for their series.
Series will consist of one weekly episode posted every Saturday over the course of 12 weeks.
In addition, daily posts by the characters will appear on LG15.com and include short videos and other multimedia content, with viewers able to discuss and comment on what they see.
Beckett, CEO of Eqal, said the company is "incorporating lessons it learned about writing for the Internet and audience interaction" from its experience with its prior shows.
"We're all but exploding the wall between creators and viewers, letting fans contribute directly to the unfolding narrative," he said.
