Osment to make Broadway debut

'Sixth Sense' star set for 'American Buffalo'

Haley Joel Osment will make his Broadway debut in “American Buffalo,” the Rialto revival of the David Mamet play set to bow this fall.

Twenty-year-old Osment, best known for his role in “The Sixth Sense,” is the third and final thesp to join a cast that also includes John Leguizamo and Cedric the Entertainer.

“Buffalo,” about three Chicago lowlifes involved in a bungled heist, is one of two dueling Mamet plays to appear on Broadway this fall. Hollywood satire “Speed-the-Plow,” toplined by Jeremy Piven, opens in October.

Helmed by Robert Falls, “Buffalo” begins previews Oct. 31 at the Belasco Theater ahead of a Nov. 17 opening.
