Panahi’s Paris-based production and sales company will also rep what is already one of the most-talked-about docus heading to the Lido: Matt Tyrnauer’s “Valentino: The Last Emperor.”
A key figure in Iranian filmmaking, whose 1985 “The Runner” was a milestone in national production, Naderi fled from Iran in the 1980s. In “Vegas,” he continues his examination of U.S. life, focusing on a blue-collar family living on the outskirts of Sin City.
Produced and directed by Vanity Fair scribe Tyrnauer, the high-def “Valentino” celebrates the recently-retired Italo fashion designer — both his creativity and opulence.
