L.A. Shorts festival honors 'Haber'

Writer-director Ragussis wins camera package

"Haber," a drama about Nobel Prize-winning German chemist Fritz Haber, took home the L.A. Shorts Film Festival's Best of the Fest award on Friday.

Brett Wagner's "Chief" drew the drama nod, and Germany's "Positive Prognosis," from director Peter Ladkani, took foreign film.

"Haber" director Daniel Ragussis, who also scripted the project, was presented with a $60,000 camera package, and his film now qualifies for an Academy Award nomination.
