The show, the first Canadian series to air in primetime on a U.S. network in more than a decade, has garnered strong ratings for both CTV in Canada and CBS in the U.S.
The drama about an emergency response unit in Toronto has averaged a weekly audience of 7 million viewers in the U.S. and has maintained an average aud of 1.7 million viewers in Canada.
"Flashpoint" has "hit its mark with North American audiences and remained competitive, even during the Olympics," said CTV's Boyce. "Viewers have embraced 'Flashpoint,' and we are answering that call for more."
Flashpoint is produced by Toronto-based Pink Sky Entertainment and Avamar Entertainment.
