Trio set for Second Stage's 'Boys'

Biggs, Coiro, Scanavino to star in comedy

Jason Biggs, Rhys Coiro and Peter Scanavino will play the college buddies of the title in Second Stage Theater’s 20th-anniversary production of Howard Korder’s comedy “Boys' Life,” beginning previews Oct. 2 for an Oct. 20 opening.

Michael Greif will direct, returning to Second Stage after last season’s musical “Next to Normal.”

“American Pie” alum Biggs last appeared Off Broadway in “Modern Orthodox” and starred on the Rialto opposite Kathleen Turner in “The Graduate.” Coiro is best known as out-of-control filmmaker Billy Walsh on HBO’s “Entourage,” while Scanavino starred in Second Stage’s “subUrbia” revival and made his Broadway debut in “Shining City.”

“Boys' Life” looks at the prolonged adolescence of the three friends as they navigate adult life and sex in New York City. Cast also includes Dan Colman, Michelle Federer, Betty Gilpin, Paloma Guzman, Laura-Leigh and Stephanie March.
