What to expect: Spanish tapas from Patina Catering; a dessert lounge by Crumbs Bake Shop; a beauty bar by Maybelline New York; KCRW's DJ Jason Bentley on the turntables; and a special musical performance to be announced (past performers have included Duran Duran and Prince).

Guest list: Sally Field, Ellen Pompeo, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Rainn Wilson and Hayden Panettiere were just a few of last year's attendees.

Raison d'etre: "I've just seen the sample of this year's Cole Haan gift bag, which was exclusively designed for our party, and I can say it's the most beautiful bag we have had yet," says "ET" exec producer Linda Bell Blue.

COMEDY CENTRAL

Location: STK

What to expect: A laid-back vibe with food catered by STK and plenty of celebratory drinks.

Guest list: Funny folks Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Sarah Silverman, Trey Parker and Matt Stone

Raison d'etre: "This year we are celebrating at a bigger venue that will give us some elbow room, as the Comedy Central Emmy party has become a very popular annual event," says Peter Risafi, senior VP brand marketing and executive creative director for the net. "We are enhancing the decor at the restaurant with lots of Comedy Central special touches."

HBO

Location: Fountain Plaza at the Pacific Design Center

What to expect: A gallery showcasing the works of numerous South American artists; music by percussionist Ravi Jakhotia; Laura Mercier cosmetics makeup lounge; eye-catching decor by famed designer Billy Butchkavitz.

Guest list: Jeremy Piven, Laura Linney, Paul Giamatti, Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Dillon and Laura Dern

Raison d'etre: Wolfgang Puck will tantalize taste buds with his "Flavors of South America" menu, which will include wild mushroom empanadas, tuna crudo and lobster and corn sopes.

TV GUIDE

Location: The Kress

What to expect: A Japanese design with oversized bonsai trees, koi ponds and bamboo walls.

Guest list: Jon Hamm, Hugh Laurie, America Ferrera, Ellen Pompeo, Jamie Foxx, Kyra Sedgwick, Kevin Bacon, Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest were spotted at last year's bash.

Raison d'etre: "TV Guide's annual after-party celebrating the Emmy Awards gets better every year, and this year will be no exception, with even more surprises in store," promises Debra Birnbaum, editor-in-chief of TV Guide.
