Nod will recognize Cruz’s career in both Spanish- and English-language films, particularly her projects with helmer Pedro Almodovar.
Two current pics will also get a mention: Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and Isabel Coixet’s “Elegy.”
Nominations for the Gotham kudos are set to be announced Oct. 20. The awards ceremony is set for Dec. 2 at Cipriani Wall Street.
Last year’s Gotham Award Tribute went to Javier Bardem, Cruz’s co-star in “Barcelona.”
