'Helen' rides Wave for distribution

Film unit acquires rights to feature

LONDON -- U.K. indie arthouse distrib New Wave Films has acquired U.K. rights to "Helen," the debut feature from Brit helmers Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor.

"Helen" world premiered at the Edinburgh Intl. Film Festival in June. New Wave was launched in February by Artificial Eye veterans Robert Beeson and Pam Engel.
