Spec ``We Are Most Amused'' will bring together the best comedians of the past 60 years to raise money for Prince Charles' youth charity the Prince's Trust. Other highlights include new Saturday night skein ``For One Night Only,'' which will feature comedians, music artists and specialty acts from around the world.
Musical drama ``Britannia High'' is being billed as ``High School Musical'' meets ``Fame.'' A co-production between ITV and Universal Music offshoot Globe Prods., ``Britannia High'' is created by West End impresario David Ian and choreographer Arlene Phillips, a judge on BBC1's ``Strictly Come Dancing.'' The music is being written by a team led by Take That singer-songwriter Gary Barlow.
Dramas include Tightrope Pictures' ``The Children,'' which follows the probe into the murder of an 8-year-old girl; Lynda La Plante crime thriller ``Above Suspicion''; and romantic comedy ``Mr. Eleven,'' produced by IMG-owned Tiger Aspect and starring Michelle Ryan (``Bionic Woman'') and Sean Maguire (``Meet the Spartans'').
``Our drama lineup sees exciting, fresh young talent making their television debuts on ITV1 alongside some of the U.K.'s leading actors,'' said Fincham on Wednesday.
ITV is also betting big on soccer, after scooping the rights to the domestic Football Assn. Cup competition and England international games.
