Ghent to honor Parkes, MacDonald

Fest's Joseph Plateau Award recognizes Parkes and MacDonald's track record as producers or exec producers on more than 30 pics in the past 20 years, including ``Gladiator,'' ``Minority Report,'' ``Men in Black,'' ``Catch Me If You Can'' and last year's ``Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.''
The duo also served as co-heads of DreamWorks Pictures from its inception until 2005.
Ghent fest runs Oct. 7-18 in Ghent, Belgium. Parkes and MacDonald will be feted at a gala on Oct. 11.
