According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, "So You Think You Can Dance" averaged a 3.0 rating/10 share in adults 18-49 and 8.7 million viewers overall from 8 to 10 p.m., rising 31% in the demo from its first half-hour to its last (2.6 to 3.4). Earlier this week, the competition series was renewed for a fifth season.
It was a quiet night elsewhere for the broadcasters, with a repeat of CBS drama "Criminal Minds" setting the pace (2.0/6 in 18-49, 9.0 million viewers overall). The Eye continues to do modest numbers with 8 o'clock unscripted competition "Greatest American Dog" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall).
ABC went with repeats of "Wife Swap" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) and "Supernanny" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) leading into news special "Primetime: Inside Out" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall).
NBC did little with its "Baby Borrowers" town hall-style meeting at 9 o'clock (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall).
