Vanessa Taylor, who co-created "Jack & Bobby" for the WB and Warner Bros. TV, will adapt the original series, which was created by Sally Wainwright.
Series will revolve around Trish Novak, a supermarket manager, wife and mother of two who, through a series of unexpected circumstances, becomes governor of New Jersey.
Drama will be produced by Kudos Film and Television, a Shine Group Co., through Warner Horizon. Shine's Carolyn Bernstein will exec produce, along with Kudos' Jane Featherstone and Stephen Garrett. Taylor will also serve as exec producer and showrunner.
