WB lifts tech executives

Aylsworth, Stephens receive promotions

Wendy Aylsworth has been elevated to senior VP of Warner Bros. technical operations and Spencer Stephens has been tapped VP of production technology for the studio's home entertainment group.

Aylsworth oversees new technologies for the studio, assessing the impact of emerging technologies on content creation and distribution. Her department works with trade orgs to promote the adoption of tech standards in areas such as digital cinema and 3-D viewing at home.

In his newly created position, Stephens will oversee technologies to create digital infrastructures and procedures. Exec helped create a virtually tapeless newsroom for Telepictures Prods.' "TMZ" and is implementing a similar infrastructure for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which has moved to the lot and begins taping there on Sept. 3.

Aylsworth had been VP of technology for the studio's technical operations since 1999. Stephens was previously VP-general manager of the studio's digital post-production and restoration facility.
