In their newly created positions, Secunda and Gates will oversee the operations of UTA's TV talent unit, including talent representation and talent-centered packaging.
UTA talent department co-head and board member Tracey Jacobs said the promotion came in recognition of the duo's role in growing the agency's TV talent area.
"Ruthanne and Nancy are respected throughout the industry for their outstanding taste in both talent and material and their ability to propel artists to the top of their craft," Jacobs said.
Secunda and Gates played a major role in UTA's securing more than 100 actor deals in broadcast and cable TV, the agency added.
The percentery's TV roster includes Patrick Dempsey, William Petersen, Alicia Silverstone, Masi Oka, Jimmy Smits, Jon Cryer, Anna Friel, Brooke Shields, Kate Walsh and Wilmer Valderrama.
Both Secunda and Gates have been with UTA since 1996. Secunda began her career at Abrams Artists before a brief stint as a manager at 3 Arts. Gates joined as a trainee and advanced to agent two years later.
